The most secure server-based browser virtualization solution on the market
Virtual Browser allows browser sessions to be executed on a centralized server in individual isolated virtual machines
The Virtual Browser client, installed on the user’s device, connects to a central server and allows the user to open multiple browser sessions using remote display technology. Unlike a proxy which analyses traffic between the browser on the end-point device and the web server, Virtual Browser runs the browsers on the server, not on the end point. This means the Virtual Browser solution offers full control of browser configuration and security parameters, content analysis, and management and traceability of all connections including https.
Virtual Browser is a unique solution based on three key principles:
1- Individual browser components – user interface, rendering engines, plugins – can be selectively mixed and matched in the virtualized execution environment on the server.
2- Security policies such as enabling or disabling certain user actions (printing, down/uploading, copy/paste) can be monitored and enforced directly on the server-based browser.
3- Each browser session is isolated in its own virtual machine, with no interaction with other sessions and executing only the components necessary according to its configuration.
The architecture of the Virtual Browser solution guarantees watertight isolation of individual browser sessions. Security risks are contained by the virtual machine, which means that if one browser session is compromised, there is no impact on other sessions. Not only are individual users isolated from each other, but each user can run multiple concurrent sessions, each isolated from the other, protecting business critical applications or highly confidential sessions from simultaneous access to less secure services.
Virtual Browser is available as a SaaS solution or as a VMware or Xen virtual appliance, easily deployed in the enterprise datacenter environment. The web-based (https) management interface provides the system administrator with all the tools needed to configure, deploy, monitor and manage the Virtual Browser solution.
